Jessica’s Chili Recipe

Our customer Jessica shared her family’s favorite chili recipe. This looks amazing and I’m going to make it this weekend! This would be really good on baked potatoes!

Here’s my favorite chili recipe using tons of produce!

Chop 1 sweet onion,

1 zucchini

2 red bell peppers or any mix of red/orange/yellow peppers.

2 seeded jalapeños

2 stalks of celery

2 cloves garlic minced

1/2 bunch of cilantro

Throw them in the crockpot or in a big pot on the stove.

Drain 2 cans of black beans add to pot.

2 cans of fire roasted tomatoes (add to pot)

2 tablespoons of chili powder

2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice

2 teaspoons of cumin

Salt and pepper to taste.

Brown 1 lb ground turkey on stove top, and then add to pot.

Once everything has cooked together in the pot, and veggies are soft—serve with your choice of  sour cream, lime wedges, freshly shredded cheddar cheese more fresh cilantro and avocado slices :)
